Wednesday, 14th May 2014, 05:10 PM IST Saif Ali Khan’s latest production 'Lekar Hum Deewana Dil' will be marking the Bollywood debut of Kareena Kapoor’s cousin, Armaan Jain. This film was initially titled ‘Locha.com’, but the makers weren’t too keen on the name which eventually changed to 'Lekar Hum Deewana Dil' upon Karan Johar’s suggestion. “The film’s script had the title 'Locha.com'. However, throughout the shoot, Saif was not too thrilled about the film’s name. Even after the film was complete, there was great deliberation over it. Later on, when Karan Johar was shown portions of the film, he suggested its current title,” says a source. Armaan also worked on Karan Johar’s previous productions like 'Student Of The Year' and 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu' as an assistant director. “Initially, they toyed with the title 'Dekho Magar Pyaar Se', but later, they settled for 'Lekar Hum Deewana Dil' as it had a musical ring to it,” said a spokesperson for the film. Interestingly, 'Lekar Hum Deewana Dil' is a chart buster from Nasir Hussain’s 1973 film, 'Yaadon Ki Baaraat'. Karan Johar remained unavailable for comment. |
