Friday 23rd May 2014, 03:00 PM IST Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is all geared up to play Indian scientist Shivkar Talpade in his upcoming film ‘Hawaizaada’ which was initially titled ‘Bombay Fairytale’.
Shivkar Talpade is believed to have made the first ever unmanned aircraft eight years before the Wright brothers did. A movie still from the film has been released. A source close to the production said, “In this still you see Ayushmann’s character experimenting with a butterfly plane. He struggles with several types of planes, including a pigeon and a fish plane, before he gets one to fly.”
Director of the film, Vibhu Puri, said,"We have done extensive research over the last two years to get the details right. Ayushmann has also learnt Marathi to get the nuances of his character right. As far as the plane is concerned, we got hold of the remains of the original aircraft, Marutsakha, which took flight in 1895. We then hired special artistes to create different looking but nature inspired aircrafts that we could use for the shoot.” ‘Hawaizaada’, which also stars Pallavi Sharda and Mithun Chakraborthy, is set to release on October 10 this year. |
