Sunday, 4th May 03:00 PM IST For the last few months, rumours have been rife that Nitya Mehra, erstwhile assistant to Farhan Akhtar, is all set to turn director and that none other than Akhtar’s company Excel Entertainment was to launch her. There have also been rumours that Mehra has been approaching various actors to ask them to be part of her film but they’ve turned her down. The first actor she approached was Aamir Khan, who liked the script but didn’t oblige. Next was Hrithik Roshan, who opted for Ashutosh Gowariker’s 'Mohanjodarro' instead. Later, we’re told that Ranbir Kapoor was approached but he too said ‘pass’. Finally, Ranveer Singh was approached but he was already committed to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Bajirao Mastani'. Now, sources close to the production house tell us that Farhan Akhtar himself will play the leading man in Mehra’s film. Let’s wait and watch! |
