Monday, 25th August, 2014, 07:00 PM IST Even though the Himesh Reshammiya starrer remake of his film ‘Karz’ was a disaster, filmmaker Subhash Ghai is more than happy about his other films like ‘Hero’ and ‘Ram Lakhan’ being remade.
The ‘Hero’ remake is being produced by Salman Khan, Nikhil Advani will be helming it with Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty in the lead. On the other hand, Ghai’s ‘Ram Lakhan’ will be remade by Dharma Productions and Rohit Shetty will direct it. The ‘Ram Lakhan’ remake was recently announced with Ranbir Kapoor likely to play the role of Lakhan.
Buzz is, while the Salman Khan production has welcomed Ghai’s inputs, the ‘Ram Lakhan’ remake contract states that he will have no say in the way the film is interpreted by its director Rohit Shetty. However, the filmmaker seems unperturbed with this fact. He said, “I am glad that my past work is being acknowledged and complimented by two of the big film making talents of Bollywood, Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty. I am sure they’d make an even bigger blockbuster out of ‘Ram Lakhan’ than I did.” |
