Thursday, 28th August, 2014, 04:45 PM IST Actor Varun Dhawan has recently wrapped up Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Badlapur’ opposite Yami Gautam. And now the actor is all set to get grooving to the tunes of his ABCD 2 director Remo D’souza. Shraddha Kapoor will also be seen in the film.
Varun was recently spotted at Remo’s Andheri studios rehearsing for the film for which he needs to be super flexible as he plays a dancer. He spoke to a popular daily during a break. He said, “I've only just got out from ‘Badlapur’, a serious drama, and now my focus is to sculpt a dancer-like body. I'm hitting the gym twice a day, for two hour sessions, and rehearsing in the afternoon.”
Helping Varun in rehearsals was Suresh Mukund on whom Varun’s character is based. The film is about the Las Vegas triumph of the group which Mukund co-founded. Varun is currently training in B-Boying, Locking and Popping. Varun further adds, “The kind of dance I've done in my previous films is very different and relatively easy from what ABCD 2 requires. Sometimes, I look at Shraddha practicing and her commitment inspires me. It challenges me as a performer. To sum it up, this film is a tribute to all the dancers who slog endless hours to teach the stars how to shake a leg.” |
