Saturday, 18th Oct 2014, 1:58 PM IST Vashu Bhagnani's ‘Welcome To Karachi’ is repeatedly landing up in some or the other problem. When Irrfan Khan opted out of ‘Welcome To Karachi’, Vashu faced a loss of Rs. 1.5cr and now, once again he has faced a loss of Rs 1.5cr, thanks to a robbery last week. The Karachi airport was recreated at Birmingham airport for the shoot. But before the wrap-up, the local transporters took three truckloads of lights, clothes and props. After a police complaint, a part of the valuables has been recovered. Vashu said, "Fortunately, a guy at the airport had clicked pictures of the drivers when they were driving away with the loot and the cops managed to track them down. But I am still staring at big losses." The permission to shoot at the airport was only for three days. "Following the theft, the shoot came to a standstill and I lost valuable time. We are now in London looking for a place to recreate the Karachi airport again. Sourcing the costumes too will be a tedious task. I had to pay 150 members of the crew in Birmingham and now have to hire new homes in London," he added.
