Saturday, 18th Oct 2014, 4:59 PM IST Govinda is all set to make a comeback with two back-to-back releases – ‘Kill Dil’ and ‘Happy Ending’. The actor was also offered two big films like ‘Shaandar’ and ‘Jagga Jasoos’, but he didn’t do the films. He has now clarified why he rejected the movies. Talking about ‘Shaandar’ in which he was offered the role of Alia Bhatt's father, Govinda said, “I had agreed to do ‘Shaandar’. The makers had promised to tell me the story of the film, but they couldn't as they were busy. And then 15 days before the film was going on-floors, the makers said that they will tell me the story on the sets to which I disagreed. I don't work like that. Though I loved the entire team of ‘Shaandar’, since I wasn't aware about the story I had to back out.” He was also offered Ranbir Kapoor’s father’s role in ‘Jagga Jasoos’, but he rejected it. The actor said, “Well I am not doing ‘Jagga Jasoos’ because I am doing ‘Abhinay Chakra’, my home production film, wherein I play a lead hero. So I cannot do a father's role. If I was doing those roles then it was fine, but if I am not doing then why are you offering me that kind of a film?” However, he added, “If offered, I will do the role of a father but it should be nice.” Now you can enjoy ad-free experience by downloading India’s first Box Office mobile app from here – Android:http://bit.ly/BOCapsuleMobileApp and iOS: bit.ly/BOCapsuleiOSApp |
