Advance booking figures and ticket rates for the Friday release 'Dhoom: 3' surely have a intriguing tale to tell.

With 'Dhoom:3', which stars Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra and Katrina Kaif in lead roles, cinema halls have gone ahead and taken the ticket prices for a film to a new high altogether. It remains to be seen if audiences are going to shell out as much as Rs 900/- per ticket to watch the flick. This is told to be the status of IMAX screens.

When the advanced booking for the movie was released on Monday, people were in for a shock about the price hike by Big Cinemas for the IMAX version of the movie which was as high as Rs900/- per ticket whereas other theatres have prices in the range of Rs200- 300/- per head.

Trade analyst Amod Mehra recently tweeted - "Reality check.. Mark my words...'Dhoom 3' will cross Rs.100 crore in the first three days and it will also cross Rs.200 crore in the first seven days."

YRF has also negotiated a release in Pakistan, where a recent court order banned the release of Indian films.
