A while ago, there was talk that Shahid Kapoor would work with Dharma Productions for the first time. All was well and the director, Puneet Malhotra, and the production house were looking for the perfect leading lady to star opposite Kapoor.

Now, it seems, Malhotra will have to start afresh. If sources close to Kapoor are to be believed, the actor will not be able to do the film, thanks to date issues. We’re told that Malhotra wanted to do a long schedule in August-September but Kapoor has already allotted these dates to Yash Raj Films for a movie being directed by Maneesh Sharma.

Sources close to Dharma Productions say that the parting was amicable and that both parties agreed to work together sooner rather than later.

Now lets see if Yash Raj can provide Shahid Kapoor with much needed hit.
