Wednesday, 27th May 2015, 3:19 PM IST Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra will be seen as siblings in ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’. In the film, Priyanka is opting for a divorce and Ranveer is not ready to get married to a girl selected by his family. Recently, in an interview, both the actors spoke about their views on marriage. When PeeCee was asked about compromising in marriage, she said, “No, I wouldn’t compromise on Marriage. In the film, I don’t love my husband and that is not a reason for me to leave him according to my parents. Actually, it is about the mentality that Indian families have that when you are together, then how come you don’t love your partner. That logic doesn’t work. Whether it is love or arranged marriage you have to love your partner. If you are not in love, then how can you stay with your partner? If I get married, rather whenever I get married, I am not of that belief that there is one fight with your partner and you leave him and go. I believe love sustains through a lot of problems. As long as there is love you can overcome anything and if that is not there then there is no point in living a life on compromise. I don’t believe that two people have to be together just because of what others will say or think, or what society will say or think. Life is too short and you need to be happy where you are, but that doesn’t mean you give up.” When Ranveer was asked if he would get married for a plane, he said, “Why would I get married for a plane? No, never. I would get married for love, so that I can be an honourable family man, which is my only ambition right now. My character in the film is confused, but I am clear that I want to be an honourable family man like my father and I am working towards that.” Now you can enjoy ad-free experience by downloading India’s first Box Office mobile app from here –Android: http://bit.ly/BOCapsuleMobileApp and iOS: bit.ly/BOCapsuleiOSApp |
