Salman Khan Hit-And-Run Case: Witness Statements Missing, Hearing Delayed

Thursday, 26th June 2014, 05:00 PM IST On Wednesday, the police statements of two of the witnesses in Salman Khan’s hit-and-run case were reported to be untraceable. This led to the case being adjourned for a month and the hearing is delayed to July 25th.
The prosecution informed the Justice D.W. Deshpande that the statements of the witnesses could not be found and the public prosecutor sought more time. Retired investigating officer K. Shenghal informed the court that the statements must be lying at the Bandra court where the previous hearings took place. Up until now, 11 witnesses have been examined out of which one turned hostile on Tuesday. |
