Rani Mukerji Starrer MARDAANI Faces The Censor Cut

Tuesday 1st July 2014, 04:00 PM IST The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has asked the makers of Rani Mukerji starrer ‘Mardaani’ to edit its promo and delete certain cuss words from it.
The CBFC wants the makers to remove the cuss word “haraamzada” from the film’s promo. Apart from that, a rape scene also needs to be edited out.
A source close to the development said, “The board has asked for the profane words to be deleted from Mardaani’s promo.Apart from this, there was a scene in the promo showing a man attempting rape and this was also asked to be edited out; it showed the man pull at the blouse of a woman.” ‘Mardaani’ will see Rani Mukerji play the role of a crime branch officer investigating a case of human trafficking. |
