Monday, 21st July 2014, 04:45 PM IST Producer Bunty Walia filed an objection with the Indian Film and Television Producers’ Council (IFTPC) claiming that the tagline of UTV films’ ‘Raja Natwarlal’ is the same as his next film’s title. Bunty’s upcoming film is set to go on floors soon and he claims that ‘Aisa Koi Saga Jahi Jise Isne Thaga Nahi’ is the title of his film. Walia says, “When I saw the poster, I noticed the tagline which is, in fact, the title of my next film. I don’t know if a solution will be arrived at in my case. But I think that filmmakers need to check with producers’ associations before releasing the publicity material of their films. It is quite easy to check if there is any other film with the same title or tagline. I want the film producers’ associations to introduce strong guidelines to stop such overlaps as it affects the producer whose film is still in the making." Vikas Mohan, senior vice president of IFTPC says, “We have forwarded our Walia’s objection to UTV Films; we have also requested them not to use the tagline.” UTV Motion Pictures spokesperson replied, “We are not aware of any such objection; if and when it is brought to our attention, we will respond appropriately.”
